[Volleyball] Volleyball Downed on Senior Night

Doane Volleyball hosted Jamestown on Friday evening as the Tigers honored their seniors for Senior Day following the contest. Honored this year were Katie Ellard (SR/Ogallala, Neb.), MacKenzie Brandl (SR/Stanton, Neb.), and Ryed Creek (SR/Viola, Kan.).

The Tigers dropped their match with the Jimmies in straight sets, 25-18, 25-17, and 25-23.

For the match, Doane hit .112 as a team with 33 kills and 20 errors. Kennedy Scheele (JR/Plymouth, Neb.) led the Tigers with 11 kills. Jaime Renshaw (SO/Sioux Falls, S.D.) dished out 24 assists. Ellard led the team with 19 digs with Renshaw adding 13 and Joslyn Crow (JR/Hershey, Neb.) finished with 10. The Tigers posted 6.0 team blocks, four total blocks coming from Simonie Mendenhall (SO/Clancy, Mont.).

Jamestown received 13 kills from Kalli Hegerle and 10 kills from Taylor Sabinash. They hit .264 as a team, 46 kills and 14 errors.

Doane will host Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday at 5:00 PM. The game is the Tigers' Pink Out game and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
