[Volleyball] LPU Tops Hawks in Three
LA MESA, Calif. – Jessica Pinasco tallied 15 kills and Anekka Guy had 13 in a losing effort Saturday night.
The SDC women's volleyball team was swept by Life Pacific, 26-24, 25-23, 25-21.
In the first set, the Hawks looked to grab the 1-0 lead. A kill from Pinasco and an attacking error gave SDC a 24-23 that caused a timeout from the Warrior coaching staff. Whatever the coach said worked because LPU was able to score the next three points and rally for the set win.
The Warriors made another late charge in the second set. With the Hawks leading 22-21, LPU scored four of the next five points for the win. The Hawks gifted three of those points with errors.
Just like both sets before, Set 3 was close until the very end. With the score tied 19-19, LPU was able to go on a 6-2 run to close it out.
The Hawks will close out their season next Saturday as they host Vanguard at 7 p.m.
