0 36

WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University senior MR/RS Samantha Naake (SR/Woodland, Calif.) has been selected as the KCAC Attacker of the Week, the league announced today (Sept. 23).

Naake, already enjoying a breakout campaign, put together arguably the best week of her career in the Falcons' last three matches.

The Woodland, Calif. native put together a beastly effort in leading the Falcons to two victories in three outings vs. KCAC opponents this past week.

Naake topped the 20 kill mark twice, including hammering home a career-high 22 kills in a 3-2 victory over Tabor College last Saturday (Sept. 21). She also recorded a solid .396 hitting percentage in the three matchups.

"Sammie has worked hard and her being named KCAC Attacker of the Week is a testament to our team getting the ball up in position for her to do what she does best!" said Friends head coach Martin Ayin.

Naake is now second in the KCAC in hitting percentage (.331) and fourth in the league in both kills (174) and kills per set (3.1).

The Falcons will next open up KCAC action Wednesday night (Sept. 25) at Avila University. Match time is set for 7 pm in Kansas City, Mo.
