Bay Area Preps HQ: This Week’s Stars

Audrey Allen, Miramonte cross country

Won the Girls Small School Girls race at the Ed Sias Invitational. Her time of 12 minutes, 7.9 seconds was first by more than 30 seconds on the two-mile Hidden Valley Park course in Martinez.

Olivia Anderson, Bentley volleyball

Had a team-high 18 kills in her team’s 20-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-16, 15-8 comeback victory over Urban. She also had 11 digs in the victory.

Jake Delaney, Acalanes football

Rushed for 171 yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Dons’ 57-28 victory over Berkeley. Included in that performance was a 65-yard run.

Austin Flax, Mountain View football

The junior had three catches for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 34-6 victory over rival Los Altos.

Colin Giffen, Palo Alto football

During a 48-0 rout of Pioneer, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior caught a trio of touchdowns from 13, 14 and 32 yards out.

Teagan Irish, Rancho Cotate volleyball

Produced a team-best 12 kills and six aces in the Cougars’ 24-26, 25-18, 26-24, 22-25, 15-13 win over Terra Linda.

Chase Laubach and Isaiah McElvane, Valley Christian football

McElvane, a three-star recruit, ran for 132 yards and a touchdown in 12 carries during a 34-12 victory at Clovis West, while Laubach added 104 yards and two touchdowns in 13 attempts

Geremy McCollough, Wilcox football

Completed 13 of his 18 passes for 232 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 49-34 victory over Leland. He also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on five carries.

Millie Muir and Elena Radeff, Sacred Heart Prep volleyball

Muir, a sophomore setter, compiled 94 assists, 16 digs and five aces in a four-set wins over Notre Dame-San Jose and rival Menlo School, while 6-foot-1 senior Radeff piled up 50 kills, 22 digs, four blocks and six aces.

Avant Muldrow, Pittsburg football

Rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries in a 56-10 win over Bishop O’Dowd. He also caught three passes for 49 yards.

Aiden Theocheung, Bellarmine cross country

The junior finished as runner-up in the Boys Large Schools race at the Ed Sias Invitational with a time to 10:35.1 on the two-mile Hidden Valley Park course in Martinez, while Monte Vista claimed the team title.



Dylan Pruitt, Willow Glen football

First blocked an attempted extra-point kick, then scored a key 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 20-6 victory over Lincoln-San Jose. It was his only rush of the game. He also had four tackles for loss defensively.

Carson Yates, Leland football

Threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns on 23-for-38 passing in a 49-34 loss to Wilcox. He also rushed for a team-high 57 yards and a score.
