[Women's Volleyball] V-Hawks Rank Third in Final Poll, Tied for Highest in Program History
Viterbo Women's Volleyball finished the season ranked third in the Postseason NAIA Top 25 Poll released on Wednesday. It was tied (2017) for the highest-ever ranking in the postseason poll in program history. The V-Hawks (33-8) received 489 points and finished behind national champion Park University (529) and runner-up Columbia College (512). Viterbo finished ahead of semifinalist Midland University (475). Previously ranked #1 Grand View University fell to #5 after the V-Hawks upset the Vikings in the Quarterfinal Round.
Viterbo finished 8-6 against teams that made the final Top 25 poll and faced eight of the nine teams in the Top 10. The V-Hawks reached their fourth NAIA Final Four in five seasons and won their fifth-straight conference regular season and postseason championships. Viterbo won the North Star Athletic Association for the fourth-straight season after a 13-1 record in conference play.
