[Volleyball] Trolls top Tigers in CCAC South Showdown

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team entered Tuesday evening's contest deadlocked with No. 21 Trinity Christian College at 13-2 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) standings. In a battle for the CCAC South championship, the Trolls' solid play proved too much for the Tigers as they came away with a straight sets victory, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17. ONU, who entered last Saturday afternoon's match against Cardinal Stritch at 13-1 in the conference and tied for first place overall, will unfortunately fall to third place in the final regular season standings following two straight defeats. The Tigers will wrap up regular season play this Thursday evening at Governors State University, before getting underway in the CCAC Tournament next Tuesday evening at McHie Arena. The Tigers record is 21-15 overall and 13-3 in the CCAC, while the Trolls improve to 24-8 overall and 14-2 in the CCAC.
