[Volleyball] Volleyball Tops Spalding on Senior Day

Mount Pleasant, IA - October 28, 2018 - Iowa Wesleyan hosted Spalding University yesterday morning for their final match of the season.  The Tigers ended their season on a high note, defeating the Golden Eagles 3-2 on senior day.

The Tigers got off to a bit of a slow start, dropping the first two sets 22-25 and 21-25.  They bounced back in the third set, converting 15 kills on a .216 hitting percentage. Iowa Wesleyan picked up a 25-20 win to bring the score to 2-1 over Spalding.

In the fourth set, Iowa Wesleyan only had one more kill than the Golden Eagles, but had six less attack errors.  They evened the match at 2-2 with a 25-16 win and forced the deciding set. It was all Iowa Wesleyan in the fifth set.  They converted 11 kills compared to 4 by Spalding, which led to a 15-7 win for the Tigers.
