[Volleyball] Owens Leads Lions In Four-Set Win Over Rams

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Bryan College volleyball team was able to turn things around Friday night when they topped the Rams of Columbia International University in four sets (25-16, 25-16, 16-25, and 25-21), improving their overall record to 10-15 and Appalachian Athletic Conference mark to 6-9. The Lions entered the match on a five-game losing streak, but with the help of on an offensive show put on by Anna Owens (SO/Thompsons Station, Tenn.) finishing with a team-high five aces and 14 kills and .357 attack percentage, a team-best 16 assists posted by Veronica Salas (SR/San Juan, Puerto Rico), the duo of Rheagan Kean (SO/Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Macenzie Krause (FR/Venice, Fla.) who led the squad with nine digs apiece, and the defensive prowess displayed by Rebecca Camacho (FR/Asheville, N.C.) with a whopping four solo blocks the Bryan team ended the run with an impressive AAC victory.
