[Volleyball] Lyon takes on Arkansas-Monticello Thursday

BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College volleyball team (1-4) opens their home schedule Thursday night when they welcome University of Arkansas-Monticello. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Becknell Gymnasium. The Scots will look to rebound after falling in three sets to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) Tuesday night in Point Lookout, Mo.

The Matchup
Arkansas Monticello is an NCAA Division II institution in the Great American Conference. This will be the team's first match of the season. The Blossoms will have to replace their top two attackers from last season, as Carolina Gasparini and Shay Mitchell had 334 and 315 kills respectively. UAM's top setter from a year ago in Kendall Vondra does return to the team, after recording 1,071 assists. Vondra also had 271 digs, while Macy Mitchell returns for her senior year after totaling 528 digs.
