Despite another monstrous performance from Macie Rhoads to go along with a strong defensive showing from Emilee Cochran, the volleyball program at Shawnee State wasn't able to advance to Friday's Mid-South Conference Semifinals as the Bears fell to the Georgetown Tigers' volleyball program, 3-0 (20-25, 21-25, 24-26) to see its 2020-21 season come to a close.
Shawnee State, who hit .159 as a group in the competitive three-set match, matched Georgetown all the way as the Bears dropped the digs count by a scant four-dive margin (93-89). SSU also posted a 6-5 advantage in total blocks.
