[Volleyball] Volleyball drops thriller to Bethany in five sets, Schmidt with career high 18 kills
There's something about five-set matches that don't sit well with Kansas Wesleyan's volleyball team.
The Coyotes suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Kansas Conference rival Bethany on Wednesday night before a large crowd at Mabee Arena in another installment of the First Bank Kansas Smoky Hill Showdown.
Bethany won the hotly contested match 19-25, 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13. It was KWU's fifth five-set loss of the season against two victories.
The Coyotes led 5-2, 12-10 and 13-12 in the fifth set before the Swedes scored the final three points for the victory.
