Kent Fitness League, Round 5 – Betteshanger Park

Deal Tri hosted Round 5 of the Kent Fitness League at Betteshanger Park on 11 Jan – now known as the one when the timing van got stuck!

This is a closed competition between 18 Kent Clubs. 454 runners ‘enjoyed’ the mud, slopes, woods and the best marshalls in the world (yes – biased!) equipped with cow bells, on this 5.1 mile course. The mud that we missed at Minnis was in abundance at Betteshanger!

We are one of the smallest teams, as we are a triathlon Club, not just running – but we squeeze a lot of fun into and out of it! Ian Humphreys was our first male to finish, followed by Steve Child and Dave Pickup. First 3 Dealie women were Jill Cliff, Annette Nixon and Louise Moore.
