Things to look out for in Nov and Dec

We will be bringing in three new things help people to understand what Deal Tri are about, to generate interest, maybe new members, etc:
- Meet a Member in November – a short piece on one member a day, for the month, across all the sports. We’ve had some feedback that new joiners or prospective members feel its hard to turn up for their first social run or whatever, when they don’t know anyone or much about the club. It’s also been mentioned that there’s still a perception that the club is for elite/well established runners, so we need to unpick that. We’re really lucky to have a very wide range of age, experience etc so let’s show it off.
- advent calendar – The first 12 days of December will see one post a day with a Club fact or bit of advice
- The November and December are also to help out with the ‘I’m stuck for a Christmas present’, ‘I want 14 months membership for the price of 12’, ‘Right I’m starting running now so I can get new trainers for Christmas’ demographic.
- lastly, a Recommended Route – good for runners and cyclists. Lots of people are moving to this area and may not know good routes, may not use Strava, or whatever. Suggestions welcome, and ideally will include route, distance, elevation, things to look for (hazards like narrow/nettled paths, landmarks and nice views), toilets, cafes/coffee stops, terrain (off road, on road, track etc), and anything else that’s useful. I can potentially put it on our plotaroute list for people to access (taking it away from personal Strava).
