Kent Fitness League (KFL) 2025-2026

0 2

Here’s the what, where, when, how, and you have the why! I haven’t done this before so please bear with me, and I know Graeme will help me out – he’s a hard act to follow!
I’m going to put all the information on here so it’s all in one place.
Eligibility to take part:

  • Affiliated to EA and a Club member
  • Not an ‘elite’ runner (sub-34 10K men and sub-38 10K) women are barred
  • Races are staged across Kent from October to March
  • The League has currently 18 clubs competing
  • Guest runners are not permitted, but runners from other Club can take part with us if they are 2nd claim for the other Club and run as Deal Tri 1st claim for this competition
  • Club shirt must be worn.

Teams – no team selection, so turn up, run and enjoy!

Match 7 – NEW 22/02/2026 9am start – Mote Park, Maidstone, ME15 7RN (instead of Blean Woods, I think).
Please car share to all fixtures (maybe run to the Betteshanger one …) If anyone has a spare seat for me, I’d appreciate the lift, please.

Scoring:
This is sorted out automatically by the timing company.
There will be 8 male scorers and 5 female scorers with the following age categories required.
Men:

  • 2 aged 40+
  • 2 aged 50+
  • 1 aged 60+
  • 3 others of any age
  • Women:
  • 1 aged 35+
  • 1 aged 45+
  • 1 aged 55+
  • 2 others of any age
Change from previous years – Five female runners are required to score for each team. There must be three Veterans (one 35+, one 45+ and one 55+) and there must be two others. The two others may be Senior women or they may be Vets. There’s a good explanation here but it was recorded before the change to 5 female runners.

Bibs
I’m expecting Evri to throw them over my neighbours gate any day now.
You will keep the same bib for all fixtures. If you lose it, it’s £5 to replace it on the next race day and a chocolate fine ????
