Weekend roundup up, 10 Aug 2025
Whooot! What a weekend for Deal Tri runners!
Walmer and Deal Seafront parkrun hosted around 40 Dealies, with Dave Gibb coming home in first place with a well deserved personal best time, Verity Hodges home as first female, and Mark Baker, Bryony Langley, Tom Casey, new members Sally Nicholls, Allan Gosman and Claire Gartland-Marsh joining in with the PBs. Of note is Junior member Macy, who also PB’d with her responsible adult (she might need new one soon, she’s really improving!) and Joseph, 3rd Junior overall. Our Couch to 5k crew all did the whole parkrun in under 38 minutes. Big thanks to Bronwen, Larry, Tye and Andy for the support. Simon Tse was at his home parkrun at Dover Waterfront, and considerably further afield, the Comlay family ran in Canada! Looked beautiful ????
This is all just a small mention of progress made this weekend.
Our next public race is the Deal Castle 5 miler and Junior 1.5k race on 2 November 2025.
Social run on Thursday, 6.50pm meet for 7pm away, start point tbc so keep checking ????????
