Early Summer 10-mile TT – Start List

Firstly, a big thank you to all 29 members and friends who have entered this year’s event. Here is the running format for the evening. Can I remind those yet topay if they can the make payment please :

• We ask, that you arrive in plenty of time to check-in and collect your race number from the trackside shelter between 17:30 – 18:00hrs. This is asked because, with so many competing, we would like ideally, to start by 18:15hrs or if possible, even earlier!
• To ensure your finish time is recorded correctly, your race number must be pinned on your lower back.
• The time trial is run anti-clockwise which is the opposite direction to the norm. So please be mindful to take care when warming up should there be any members of the public still on the track…
• Everyone will be set off according to their race number at 1-minute intervals.  Once number 1 – Jayne has been set off, the track will be closed to everyone else, so if you wish to warm up you will need to register and do this early.
• Please line up on the apron on the outside of the circuit opposite the start line and only move across to the inside when it is safe to do so.  We would like only 4 bikers waiting behind the start line at any time.
• Once set off, you complete 4 full laps then continue around for the 5th time but when you come off the top bend for the 5th time you take the 1st turn into the centre of the track on your left and the FINISH Line is approx. 40m. Our timekeepers will be here, so if you have any energy, please shout out your number as you pass by.
• This cut through leads you back onto the circuit, where others will still be racing so, please take care as you warm down until you get back to the Trackside Shelter, where you can return your race number, for a well earnt chocolate treat.
