The last month of the home racing season kicked off with two of our favorites in the same weekend.

The Lost Sheep, Middle Distance National Championships, Kenmare

Excellently hosted in perfect conditions by Cork Triathlon Club. First time participant Kathryn Fahy seemed to take those hills in her stride, and after a hectic summer came home in 6th Female overall (5:02) for an AG Silver. Also in her first time racing here, Roisin Kelleher took 9th for AG Silver(5:10)Ronan Costelloe was our first male home in 11th for AG Silver,in 4:30. Next was Mike Quinlivan in 54th (4:58) followed by Ray Kearney  60th in 5:02 and Brian Touhy 72nd in 5:06 Age group Golds went to Ed Fahy & Niamh Yelverton

Well done to Brendan Mulhare, Declan Forde, Siobhan Quain, Roisin Doran, Gerry McIntyre, John Gleeson, Ollie Foley, Mike Clancy, Daniel Garry, Eimear Laffan, Sinead Walsh, Ian Moore, Dan Shanahan & Deirdre O’Malley.

Massive kudos to Maeve Collins who took this on as her first Middle distance.

Glin Sprint

An early morning fog forced the organisers Glin Triathlon Club  to run an Aquathlon on Saturday as it was simply too dangerous to have bikes racing. However disappointing , safety is always the priority.

Well done to  Murna Griffin O’Malley 6th over the line for the !st Female .Returning from injury great to see Shone Keane racing and taking 2ndOn the Mens side it was a Trio of Nigels doing the best for LTC Nigel Mann  in 2nd place, Nigel Laffan  8th Nigel O’Brien 12thGreat racing from Angela, Wayne, Brian H, Yvonne, Tony, Robbie M, Tony Hoare & Mick Garry.

Oisín Mulligan, influenced no doubt by Dad Robbie, was busy racing the Tried & Tested Kidathon in Dungarvan and the Moby Dick Youth series in Youghal today, where he took 2nd place  Congratulations Oisin!

Sarah Deegan accomplished her goal for the season, smashing IM 70.3 Erkner in Germany.

PIKEMAN, Standard Distance National Championships, Wexford Congratulations to Roisin Kelleher who continued her National Series streak coming home in 5th place at the National Championships in Wexford, only a week after the Lost Sheep !

Congratulations to Laoise Bennis, racing for Team Ireland, took 4th in her age group at the Sprint Distance European Age Group Championships in Vichy, France.

Angela Robertson became our first ever female member to race the IRONMAN World Championships in Nice, France. Angela completed this epic and challenging course in 13:09:31 for her 7th IRONMAN finish. Huge congratulations.

Ballyhass Sprint, Mallow Congratulations to Jade Murphy who came 2nd overall in the sprint triathlon! Siobhan Quain won the aquabike, and to top off great day Limerick won the club prize   Well done Nigel Mann, Cathal McCarthy, Helan Hartigan, Johnny O’Connell and Martin Pierce.

Lorna Fenton and Dave Cross flew the flag in Italy at IM 70.3 Emilia Romagna, putting in a great day in their second 70.3 of the year.

Pulse Port beach Sprint (NS)  HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Aron O’Dowd and his pilot Richard Chapman, winners of the Para National Championships at the Pulse Port Beach Triathlon. It was great to see Aron back racing. Closing out her season and the National Series, well done to Kathryn Fahy taking Second place in the sprint race.

HARDMAN Valentia Sprint. Thiago Silva, Brian Hourigan, Clíona McCarthy and Gavan Manifold traveled to West Kerry on Saturday for the final race of the season

Winter training sessions are on the way back: 

Coached swims: Monday 2000, Thursday 0700  (Must be block booked through club link!)

Strength & Conditioning:  Thursdays 1800 & 1900 (must be block booked though club link)

Sunday Group rides: Starting October
