ALEX YEE ruffled a few feathers with his finish-line celebration after winning Sunday’s Supertri Boston triathlon.

The Team GB superstar continued his winning ways from Paris as he crossed the line first in Boston, taking just 49 minutes to secure the win.

It was another gruelling effort from Yee who, like in his Olympic gold triumph, had to turn on the burners late in the race to get ahead and pip his competitors to first place.

But it wasn’t the way he won the race that caught the attention of the masses, but rather his celebration upon crossing the line.

Yee, 26, began celebrating before the race had finished and ran over the line with his arms crossed.

The Lewisham lad then coldly stared at the camera, with second place athlete Hayden Wilde left visibly miffed by the Brit’s celebration.

Some fans online seemed to have the same reaction, taking to social media to slam Yee’s celebration.

One wrote: “No wonder the guy in second has the hump. Zero class.”

While another added: “Bit off that finish! None of the respect that we saw during the Olympics…”

However, others thought the moment was fantastic and praised Yee for his confident finish.

And a second wrote: “That celly is cold!”

It was New Zealand’s Wilde that Yee passed late on in Paris to win his gold medal at the Olympic games, with the pair sharing an embrace after the race.

Yee has now won all of his last four individual races.

While his mixed relay efforts in Paris earned him a bronze medal alongside his Team GB teammates.

His stunning Olympics even saw him chosen to be the Team GB flag bearer alongside trampoline gymnast Bryony Page for the closing ceremony at the Stade de France.
