What happened today:

It's a matter of safety. About 115,000 of the US Department of Veterans Affairs' healthcare workers will be required to get vaccinated against COVID-19. It's the first federal agency to require COVID-19 vaccinations. "I am doing this because it's the best way to keep our veterans safe, full stop," Denis McDonough, the secretary of veterans affairs, told The New York Times.

Putting up with Fox News.
The White House said the Biden administration didn't want to pick a fight with an outlet like Fox News after President Trump made undermining the media a tenet of his politics. The White House was defending the decision to put representatives on the conservative network, saying it's too important to ignore.

China leads the pack.
As we begin the fourth day of the Tokyo Olympics, China has the most medals, with 18, followed by the USA, with 14, while host nation Japan rounds out the top 3, with 13. Day 4 of the Olympics will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on the US East Coast on Monday. Follow Insider's live coverage of events including the men's and women's surfing finals here.

That's quite the headline. A 27-year-old triathlete won Olympic gold, vomited everywhere, and had to be taken away in a wheelchair. The event was plagued by several problems, such as a media boat that blocked many competitors from safely diving into the water to extreme heat as they bolted for the finish line. For Norway's Kristian Blummenfelt, a well-timed burst in the final moments bagged him the gold - but cost him the contents of his stomach.

A protest against leotards. German gymnasts continued their stand against the sexualization of their sport by wearing full bodysuits during the Olympics. Their goal? To make younger athletes more comfortable not wearing the revealing leotards that are normal in gymnastic competitions.

That's all for now. See you later.
