Tennis Star Alexander Zverev, Girlfriend Sophia Thomalla Have Dated Since 2020

Who is professional tennis player Alexander Zverev's girlfriend? Does he have a wife? 

No, Zverev is not married. However, he does have a long-time girlfriend. Her name is Sophia Thomalla, and the model/actress has been showing her support for Zverev as he advances through the Canadian Open, otherwise known as the National Bank Open.

Zverev and Thomalla started dating in 2020, according to People.

Zverev has revealed that he believes his girlfriend's support helps him play better tennis.

“I think for tennis players it is always very important who you have next to you. Sophia is someone who gives me peace and security," Zverev told Tennis Magazin in 2021. 

"I play extremely well with her behind me and I hope that will continue to be the case next year and maybe even better. I haven't achieved all of my goals yet," he revealed.

Sophia Thomalla Is a Model & Actress From Germany

According to People, Thomalla was born in the former East Germany to parents who were actors.

She has worked in Germany as a "model, actress and tennis presenter," earning fame of her own in that country, People reported.

She was featured on Are You the One?, a German dating show. 

Thomalla is also a social media influencer. She has 1.4 million followers on Instagram.

She has filled her Instagram page with modeling photos.

Some of Thomalla's photos show her with Zverev. "Leaving Germany with a trophy in our pocket ????" she wrote with a post showing the pair in April.

She posted a video to her Instagram page showing Zverev kissing her.

According to Pro Football Network, Thomalla also posted a shout-out to Zverev when he won a tough quarter-final match at the Canadian tennis tournament, although it is no longer visible on her Instagram story.
