Thirty first Arab Table Tennis Championship

KUWAIT: Fahaheel table tennis team qualified to the quarter finals of the 31st Arab Table Tennis Championship being held in the Morrocan City of Agadir, and will continue until September 9. In all 19 teams are participating, distributed over four groups, as Fahaheel topped group 4 that includes Sar from Bahrain, Rayyan from Qatar, Saham from Oman, and Sinaah from Iraq. Fahaheel did not lose any of its matches after beating Rayyan by the score of 3-2, then Sar 3-2 and Sinaah (3-0) after it withdrew, then Saham 3-1.


The delegation is headed by Fahaheel Club Chairman Hamad Al-Dabbous, and it includes Mohammad Al-Harby, Yaqoub Al-Mansouri, Hamad Al-Shimmari, Ehab Khalifa, Mishko Anderea and six players: Ibrahim Al-Hassan, Jiyong Sinyomjan, Salem Al-Hassan, Abdallah Al-Mukaimi, Abdallah Baroun and Khalid Al-Otaibi.

Hamad Al-Dabbous lauded the performance of the player as they attracted all those participating in the tournament, especially that group four is considered the strongest as the clubs in it are predicted to reach the final rounds. He said “we hope to continue our winning ways and represent the game at its best”.
Meanwhile Fahaheel beat the Palestinian team Sinjil 3-0 and qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament.
