Ripped Ronaldo and Neymar box, wrestle and play table tennis with chopsticks in brilliant advert as AWOL PSG star edges closer to Barca transfer
CRISTIANO RONALDO and Neymar are clearly enjoying the off-season, as they feature in a brilliant but bizarre advert.
The global icons met in the ring for some boxing and even some wrestling before trying their hand at table tennis.
Ronaldo, 34, looks shredded as he strips off for the commercial, which was filmed in Turin – home to Juventus.
It is promoting Meo, a Portuguese mobile network.
The advert starts with Ronaldo and Neymar going head to head inside the ring as they act out suggestions from members of the public.
After touching gloves, they pretend to have it out Floyd Mayweather-style before Brazilian music kicks in and Neymar starts dancing around as Ronaldo bursts into laughter.
Then the fight transforms into a wrestling match with both ‘fighters’ donning WWE-style masks and there is suddenly three Neymars.
In another version of the advert, the pair have a table tennis match.
But with both players too good with bats, they are forced to play with chopsticks instead.
As Neymar unleashes a huge forehand, quick-witted Ronaldo catches the ball with his chopsticks before a huge smirk spreads across his face and the advert ends.
Of course, while the Brazilian is featuring in adverts, he is not training with Paris Saint-Germain.
The forward, 27, was supposed to be back with his team-mates this week – but he did not turn up.
PSG released a statement which said: “Neymar was summoned for the resumption of activities of the [first-team] of Paris Saint-Germain.
“PSG have found that the player, Neymar, did not show up at the agreed time and place, without having been authorised by the club in advance.
“PSG deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it.”
Neymar’s dad insisted the club knew he would be missing and that he has not gone AWOL.
PSG will not sack the player because they paid £198million for him just two years ago and desperately want to get as much as possible by selling him.
But now Neymar looks to be edging closer to a return to Barcelona.
PSG confirmed the Catalan giants have made contact over a transfer.
In a bombshell interview, Leonardo told Le Parisien: “Neymar can leave PSG if there is an offer that suits everyone.”

Asked explicitly if there had been contact with Barcelona, former AC Milan star Leonardo replied: “Yes.”
And quizzed on whether Neymar – who has vowed to “go to war” with PSG over leaving – had expressed his desire to go, Leonardo said: “It’s clear to everyone. But in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow another. It’s amazing but it’s like that.
“We talked with his entourage too. Everyone knows everything. The position is clear for all participants.”
