DMCC Day 3 heats

This was the day with the largest number of LCSC swimmers participating!

2 Junior swimmers – Emily C (200 freestyle) & Bryn F (200 breaststroke). Both swimmers did really well in their first International Meet, Bryn dropped 5s from his previous pb to make a well deserved junior final in 6th place.

There were 16 open swimmers (Andrea C, Paul C, Jack F, Toni J, Alex M, Caleb M, Sarah McC, Sasha McK, Ava McN, Daniel M, Moya O’K, Noah P, Sasha Q, Deaten R, Dylan R & Jessika R) with 25 swims in the later session. It was a good final heat session from all the Lisburn swimmers with 9 pb swims from Jack & Caleb (400 freestyle), Alex (50 freestyle), Moya & Jessika (200 backcrawl). Jamie A also swam the 100 fly and 200IM representing his Uni.

Ava has had an excellent meet with the most pb swims, adding a further 2 from 2 swims today in her 50 breaststroke, also breaking the club record (earning her another B final swim) and 200IM. Another swimmer on the rise is Dylan also with 2 pbs from 2 swims in 50 freestyle and 100 fly – breaking the club record in the process! Well done!

The excellent performance today means that we have a total of 8 swimmers returning for finals tomorrow morning. Andrea (100 fly) & Sarah (50brs) both have A final swims. Paul (50brs & 200IM), Jack (400 freestyle), Toni (100fly), Ava (50brs) & Dylan (100fly) will swimming in B finals with Bryn in the 200brs junior final.
