Not quite too small to surf this morning
Hello Friends,
Surface conditions were clean for Saturday’s early session along the beaches thanks to a light NNW breeze and a mix of 1.4 metres of 11-sec SE and smaller, weaker NE wind bump. The waits were long and the sets were rarely getting into the waist plus range, so take your floatiest option and a sunny attitude for maximum return on your efforts.
The wind will swing to the south this evening and the south swell component should build a little overnight too. The models don’t show it coming up much, but with luck it should be at least as surfable as this morning’s offerings.
This morning’s swell models are pointing to a mid-week kick into the 2 metre range from the south. Right now Wednesday morning at south magnets could be the go – wind permitting.
Have a great Saturday everyone!
Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge lies over the coastal waters bringing settled weather before gusty southerly change moves along the coast later today. From Sunday to Tuesday several more fronts and troughs are expected to bring southerly surges to the NSW waters.
