Another clean and tiny surf morning
Hello Friends,
A chilly offshore was keeping the dawn patrol numbers down and the tiny waves clean. At 0600 the MHL buoy was recording 1.5 metre, 8-sec period SE swell out at sea. Surf prospects were marginal with long waits and wave faces on sets struggling to make the waist-high mark.
Weather should be mostly sunny and the wind is expected to be light and offshore all day. First tide of the day was a low at 0830. It’ll be back to high at 1510 when we should be experiencing the 19 C peak temp. Water’s on 18 C, so your 3/2 steamer will be fine.
Outlook is for the marginal, but not quite flat surf prospects for the next week, although tomorrow is currently shaping to be near flat…
Have a good one!

A high pressure ridge extends across the southern waters, while a trough continues up the coast today, bringing a southerly wind change.
