Glassy and chilly

0 301

Hello Friends,

Surface conditions were smooth and clean thanks to an early west breeze. The 12-second, 2-3 metre south swell was going past places like Manly but getting into Curly and Dee Why where this morning’s pictures were taken. Set wave faces at magnets were around the head high mark or even a touch bigger. The long line was mostly too much for the open stretches, but there were defintely a few focal points to be found. Water is clean according to Beachwatch and it’s still on 23C. Tide hits the 1.37 metre high at noon when the wind will likely be around to the south.

Voting day is looking pretty ordinary with southerly wind and a 95% chance of rain. Take the raincoat when you head out to do your civic duty!

Bit late this morning because I joined some of the 1000+ volunteers for Dr Sophie Scamps to wave signs along Pittwater road. By my rough count around 2000 cars went by us. Such a great feeling among all the volunteers too. Everybody is an NB local and we’re putting in the hours for positive action on climate change, integrity and health in our community – and the country as a whole.

If you haven’t voted, check out Dr Sophie’s policy priorities here and then please make her your number one choice.

(Remember to number ALL boxes on your ballot to make it valid. Dr Sophie isn’t suggesting preferences, that’s up to you. Personally, I’m going greens second, then TNL and Labor, followed by the other minors and leaving last place for the LNP to stop its preferences helping UAP etc. )

Wherever you stand on the political spectrum, I’m sure we can all agree that our democracy is precious and we each proudly serve our country when we cast our ballot.
