Micro to flat Saturday morning

0 9

Hello Friends,

Very low energy this morning, with most places at near lake flatness. Wind bump was coming from the SSW at 5 seconds apart and around the metre mark. There seemed to be ankle to knee high bumps at North Narrabeen thanks to some NE component, but Dee Why was zippo.

The wind was light SW before 0800, but the forecast tells us it’ll swing southerly and build to 20-25 kts. Tomorrow it’s expected to still be south in the morning and there might be a little south swell showing. But I’m not expecting anything much above the waist high mark at south magnets.

It looks as though things will bumble along in this low energy, barely surfable state until the end of the work week when some of the swell models are showing lift into the 2 metre  range from the SE by around Friday morning.

It’s Council voting day, so if you haven’t already taken care of it… you know the drill.

Go well everyone!

Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure is extending along the New South Wales coast from a high over the Bight and a broad trough of low pressure is over central parts of the state. The ridge will maintain a southeasterly airstream along the coast over the weekend. Winds over the southern and central parts of the coast will turn east to northeasterly on Sunday and early new week as the centre of the high moves to the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday.
