The Goat’s Surf Forecast
The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 23 September 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:
Finding a good bank is the key at the moment.
You know what they can be like… show you some potential and then disappoint..
And that also applies to the ones at the beach!~~~~ (boom boom)
Only a few takers today, despite nice conditions, but I didn’t see any decent rides at all.
If you can find a good bank, go there….
And the same if you’re looking for a wave…
Oh ahhaha TG thinks he’s sso funny.
Wave size was going down thru the day Thursday, but the waves still had a little power left as a result of a 10+ second pulse. But they weren’t very good because of.. yes the banks.
Waves of any size with power and sand all over the place, shallow in spots, can make for risky takeoffs, even for the experienced, and strong rips for unsuspecting swimmers… in the cold water.
Been a couple of whales around and the usual marine scavengers will be traveling back south with them.
Surf with a friend.
Friday: down more from Thursday, say about 1 metre or even less dead South
Saturday: starting to come up from the south pushed by the wind, say 1-2 or 2 metres and windblown
Sunday: 2-2+ metres at dead South spots, still windy
Monday: eased back to the 1-2 metre range South.. there will be places that like the NE wind forecast by the Bureau
Tuesday: somewhere around 1 ish metres South with a N NE wind holding it up
Wednesday: in the 1-2 metre range from the North East wind
Thursday: similar.
If you want to broaden your surfing horizons… be like TG, follow the official health advice, and get vaxxed when and if you can.
Stay safe.
TG.

Water temp weighs in at around 18, but “feels like” is multiple choice
Water temp is:
a. nice, if you’re young
b. freezing, if you’re not… or will make you so numb you won’t feel it till you’re trying to thaw out your feet later.
You can choose what you are.
Tides
will be going up and down, no question about it (unless the world stops
