Warm Monday coming up

0 8

Hello Friends,

Dee Why looked to be pretty much surfless as Monday morning got started. Swell at sea was 0.6m from the SE at 9 seconds, so there might be the odd ankle to knee high runner at optimally aligned spots. But otherwise, it’s as good as flat.

There’s a gale warning for southerly conditions tomorrow and swell should ramp into the solid to big range by the afternoon on what should be a showery and much cooler than today’s expected high of 27C. From the look of the modelling, the south pulse will likely peak Wednesday night and be dropping rapidly back toward tiny on Thursday morning.

Take care, take the mask if you’re heading out and have yourself a top old Monday.

Weather Situation

A cold front near Victoria will bring a strong southwesterly change to southern and central waters on Monday and the northern coast on Tuesday. After this, a low pressure system is expected to develop well offshore, reinforcing a vigorous southerly flow. Winds are expected to ease later on Wednesday as the low moves away to the east and a high pressure system near the Bight pushes a ridge across the state.
