Messy and tiny on Tuesday morning
Hello Friends,
As of 0830 skies seemed to be clearing over Sydney, wind was coming from the WNW at 5-9 kts and out at sea the swell was 1.4 metres from the east at 6-7 seconds. As the pictures show, waves are very small and not super clean looking but, they’re on the margin of being catchable. I’d call it ankle to knee high.
Outlook hasn’t changed much since yesterday. We’re still looking at a couple more days of these very small and marginal conditions, but a solid 2-3 metre dead south pulse remains on the cards for Thursday into Friday and maybe Saturday.
Stay safe folks. Don’t go out if you don’t have to and of course, take the mask.
Weather Situation
A cold front is forecast to cross the coastal waters today, with northerly winds strengthening ahead of a vigorous west to southwesterly change in the wake of the cold front. A low pressure system is then expected to form in the southern Tasman Sea during Wednesday, resulting in fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds which should ease as the low moves toward New Zealand in the second half of the week.
