Sunny start and waves too

0 11

Hello Friends,

Nice little lines coming in this morning. Doesn’t look much above the chest high mark at the point, but it did seem to be a touch bigger along the beach. Wind was a light 5 kts from the SW as of 0800. Out at sea the swell was up from this time yesterday and is currently 1.7 metres from 153° at 8-9 seconds. Beachwatch still has ‘pollution possible’ warnings posted for all of our beaches.

Wind should come around to the east and get up to 10-15 kts. At the same time we can expect to see the odd shower.

Outlook is for the wind to go around to the SE tomorrow and Thursday and for the swell to perk up from the NE. So, conditions may not be too attractive, particularly from late morning. The forecasts are showing swell getting a bit bigger from Thursday while at the same time the wind moves around to SW. It looks like it might go west by Friday, along with more swell energy. Could be good!

Go well!

Weather Situation
A low pressure system near the southern Queensland coast will move south to southeast over the coming days, bringing strong winds and large waves to northern coastal waters. Meanwhile, a high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge across the south.
