Easter Monday little waves

0 14

Hello Friends,
Sunny skies and a steady south wind of 9-14 kts texturing it up in the corner at Dee Why. Sets look to be in the waist high range with likely the odd bigger one. Out at sea the swell is a touch over the metre mark at 12 seconds from 170° (ie close to straight south). That’s a better set of numbers than yesterday and in line with expectations. Interestingly, Beachwatch is still warning that pollution is possible at all of the Northern Beaches. I’m staying out in that case.
Looking at the models, the GFS and ECMWF are both telling us not to expect a significant change tomorrow or Wednesday, but Thursday should see increasing energy levels as we get a modest east pulse with light offshores. And right now it looks like being fun into the weekend.
Go well with your Monday!

Not amazing but you can catch ’em

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge across New South Wales. A trough will weaken as it moves up the central coast today. Meanwhile a low pressure system off Queensland’s southeast coast will track south to southeast during the week, possibly generating strong winds and large waves, particularly about the northern coast.
