Alek Manoah really tried (and failed) to blow a bunted ball foul

It’s an understatement to say Alek Manoah’s performance on Monday night in blowout 11-4 loss to the Houston Astros wasn’t what he wanted.

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher who has struggled all year lasted for all of one-third of an inning, getting shelled for six earned runs.

But it was his handling of a bunted ball that we’ve got to focus on here. He tried something that many a Major Leaguer has attempted over the years: He tried to blow it foul.

Now, I wonder if he was kidding around. But either way, it didn’t go so well.
