Ryan Benoit had a miserable day at the scale.

At Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 26, the flyweight veteran put a scare into everyone watching when he showed up to the stage and struggled to even stand on his own power, much less stay still so that he could be properly weighed.

Benoit was escorted off of the scale and UFC commentator Jon Anik announced that he was being checked on by doctors. It was unclear if Benoit would still attempt to weigh in.

Moments later, Benoit returned to step to the scale again, and again required the assistance of his coaches to stand. Officials were able to get a weight, 129 pounds, three pounds over the flyweight limit.

Benoit’s opponent for Saturday’s preliminary card, Zarrukh Adashev, successfully made weight earlier at 125.5 pounds. However, according to a report from MMA Junkie, the bout has been cancelled.

Here is the UFC’s official statement regarding the cancellation:

Due to weight management issues, the flyweight bout between Ryan Benoit and Zarrukh Adashev has been cancelled.
