PART of Thomas Tuchel’s new Chelsea backroom staff appears to have been leaked before the club’s official announcement.

The German boss, 47, joined the Blues on an 18-month deal on Tuesday to replace Frank Lampard, who was ruthlessly sacked by Roman Abramovich.

Tuchel took charge of his first training session at Cobham last night as he quickly tries to prepare his new troops for tonight’s game with Wolves.

He has enjoyed success at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and most recently PSG prior to his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

But during that period he has relied upon some tried and trusted staff to help him along the way.

As SunSport reported yesterday, he is expected to bring his inner circle with him to West London.

And two of his lieutenants appear to be already getting down to work alongside him – even though they have not yet officially been announced as part of his Blues backroom staff.

It was eagle-eyed viewers of Chelsea TV who spotted both Arno Michels and Zsolt Low alongside him at Cobham.

Since their days at Mainz, Tuchel has worked exclusively with Michels as his assistant manager.

They met when they were learning their coaching badges and Tuchel was adamant Michels would be his assistant, wherever he went, including at Borussia Dortmund and PSG.

Tuchel and Michels share the same football philosophy – incisive, quick attacking play – and implement their style onto their players.

Speaking previously of their relationship, Tuchel said: “He is a diligent, hardworking and loyal trainer whose character traits suit me perfectly.”

The new Blues boss has also known Low for a number of years – although they only recently started working together.

The Hungarian joined his staff at PSG after impressing as assistant coach at RB Leipzig.

But Tuchel had already known Low after he coached him as a player at Mainz.

These are just two of the team Tuchel is expected to bring with him to Chelsea, ranging from his trusted video analyst and strict fitness coach.

An official announcement regarding his backroom team is expected to be made over the coming days, although fans will be no doubt looking to the touchline this evening for further clues and spoilers as they try to get over the axing of Lampard.

The decision to sack the Blues legend hasn’t gone down well with some fans.

One group of supporters, called We Are The Shed – made up of around 150 season ticket holders – have now taken a stand.

They erected a banner on the gate of Stamford Bridge, in a clear dig at Chelsea chiefs for continually sacking managers arguably prematurely.

They also set off a pair of flares, engulfing the street around the stadium in a sea of blue smoke just hours before the Premier League game at home to Wolves.
