I can’t wait to see MILITARY MARCH (4.15 Meydan) back on a racecourse.

Saeed bin Suroor’s exciting four-year-old looked right out of the top drawer as a juvenile, winning both of his starts.

He only managed one outing in a frustrating campaign in 2020 – but it wasn’t a bad performance as he finished a fine fourth in the Guineas as a 20-1 shot.

He has been off for 229 days having suffered a minor setback, ruling him out of the Derby, but his trainer often gets them ready first time out in Dubai and Frankie Dettori has jetted in for the ride.

He will relish this 1m1f trip – he will want further in time – and he is the only runner in the field who has the potential to progress in a true top-notcher for the summer ahead.

Earlier on the card, WALTON STREET (3.05 Meydan) can make it a good day for the boys in blue.

He has been a cracking servant for Charlie Appleby and remains on an upward curve over a mile and a half.

The seven-year-old rounded out last year with an emphatic victory in a Listed race at Newmarket, beating some very classy rivals.

He goes well fresh and he has plenty of good form around the course – mind you so do half of the Godolphin runners!

It is always something of a lottery deciding which is ‘the one’ when Godolphin have multiple runners, but he is potentially the best among them anyway and the booking of Will Buick earns him the nod.

Meydan Thursday best bets

3.05 Meydan – Walton Street

4.15 Meydan – Military March NAP
