Today’s horse racing tips: Two big-price fancies at Wolverhampton on Tuesday can sting the bookies

This five-year-old looks a potentially huge price if able to reproduce the form of his last visit to Wolverhampton.

That was in late October when he was in a four-way go at the finishing line, going down by a neck.

He’s off the same mark today against similar rivals so could sneak into the places at rewarding odds.

SHADY OAKS (1.00 Southwell)

This enigmatic seven-year-old goes well here and has had just seven days off since clocking a big personal best in finishing second.

This race looks no better and he got on well with his rider who takes a valuable 7lb off again today.

He could well find a couple too good again but has every chance of getting on the podium.

RED BOND (6.30 Wolverhampton)

Keith Dalgleish’s four-year-old has had some help from the handicapper and is now 4lb lower than his excellent fifth in the Silver Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot.

He has a good record here with a win and a close place from two visits and he was entitled to need his comeback last time.

He was gelded and had a wind op before that and can show the benefits of that today.

Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Monday.
