Hot Wag of Borussia Dortmund returning hero Mats Hummels once caused uproar in Germany when she allegedly skipped paying a restaurant bill
CATHY HUMMELS is the beautiful wife of German defender Mats Hummels – but she’s found herself in a little bit of bother over the last 12 months.
The gorgeous 31-year-old was in court in April following a claim that she had broken advertising rules on social media, and she will be heading back there again challenging a restaurant’s claim she didn’t pay her bill.
LEGAL WOES
Cathy, a lover of yoga and vegan food, has been with Mats, who returned to Borussia Dortmund in a shock £34m move Thursday, since the pair met as teenagers in Munich.
Married in 2015, the couple have a son, Ludwig, who is now one.
But January was a stressful time for the couple as Cathy found herself in court accused of owing a Dortmund restaurant €1,006.40 (£883.43) in an unpaid bill.
She had celebrated her birthday at Meisterhäuschen in 2015, but the restaurant claimed she had left without paying and took her to court.
Cathy said she paid in cash with the court stating: “One of the two sides has blatantly lied to the court and tried to deceive.”
Unfortunately for Mrs Hummels, the burden of proof was on her.
But having apparently paid in cash, Cathy had no receipts and was subsequently found guilty – she was ordered to pay back the bill, plus accrued interest.
Cathy has lodged an appeal with the case to go to another court hearing later in the year.
She told German newspaper Bild: “I can only say that I am a defender of fairness and I do not like [being accused of] such a thing.

The news follows on from two other incidents from last summer.
Danish sportswear giant Hummel accused Cathy of copyright infringement after she named her footwear line ‘Hummels’.
The company said having six of seven letters the same was too close and applied for an injunction, with a Hamburg court granting the motion.
