The New York Yankees designated veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk for assignment on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old journeyman signed as a free agent during training camp, with the Yankees becoming his seventh MLB team.
In a corresponding move, the Yankees brought up right-hander Elmer Rodriguez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Rodriguez, 22, will start and
