Union acquire Colombian D Geiner Martinez

The Philadelphia Union acquired Colombian defender Geiner Martinez from Uruguay's CA Juventud on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old center back is under contract through the 2027-28 season with options through 2029-30.
Martinez has four goals in 51 appearances with Juventud and Central Espanol in Uruguay. He helped Juventud earn a promotion and qualify for the 2026 Copa
