Report: Mets' Frankie Montas to have Tommy John surgery

As feared, Mets right-hander Frankie Montas will have Tommy John surgery on Tuesday and likely will miss the entire 2026 season, the New York Post reported.
Montas, 32, began his first season with the Mets on the 60-day injured list with a right lat strain and ended the campaign on the 60-day IL with a UCL strain in his right elbow.
