‘Pay withholding taxes to GRA’ — Public Accounts Committee instruct MMDAs
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has directed several Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to strictly comply with tax withholding laws. At a recent hearing in Sunyani reviewing the Auditor-General 39;s report on MMDA funds, PAC found that a number of Assemblies have failed to remit taxes withheld to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) within the legally mandated 15 days.
