[Softball] Softball Claims First-Ever MSC Tournament Title in UC History with 2-1 Win over LWC

Bowling Green, KY – UC Softball defeated the sixth-ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College 2-1 in the championship game of the Mid-South Conference (MSC) tournament to claim the first MSC tournament title for softball in school history. The Patriots entered into the tournament as the sixth seed and fought their way to the championship game with wins over the third seed Georgetown (5-4, 11 innings), second seed and NAIA ninth-ranked Campbellsville (2-1, 8 innings), and top seed and NAIA sixth-ranked Lindsey Wilson (4-0). These three upsets set up UC for their fourth upset of the tournament as they remained undefeated and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round.
