[Softball] Softball Tournament Seeds and Bracket Set

SYLVANIA, Ohio - Three teams may have shared the regular-season conference championship - Davenport, Madonna, and Michigan-Dearborn - but only one can be the top seed in the upcoming Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament. 

Davenport was awarded the top seed, and the league's first automatic berth to nationals, based on the first tiebreaker. The Panthers won the head-to-head competition part of the tiebreaker against the other two champions with a 3-1 advantage. Madonna is the second seed after going 2-2 against DU and UM-Dearborn, the third seed. The final tiebreaker was needed for the fifth seed and came town to head-to-head run differential between the tied teams, Northwestern Ohio and Concordia.

Set at Pacesetter Park, the top eight teams in the final standings will play a double-elimination tournament from May 3-5 with May 8 reserved as an inclement weather day.
