[Softball] Tigers claw out senior day win

Senior Chelsae Osborn led off the bottom of the sixth with a single and came around on a triple from Kara Howard as the go ahead run on senior day. Osborn, a four-year starting walk-on, celebrated senior day with Sydney Goyette in style – a 2-1 win over Kentucky Christian University.

"I've told them, sometimes we've got to win ugly," said GC coach Thomas Thornton. "We played the Knights a few weeks ago in Grayson and they've gotten better as you expect every team as the season goes on. They were ready to play.

"Chelsae had a couple good hits and was on in a key situation. Sydney pressed a little, but defensively made solid plays and sophomore pitcher Hannah Morton came in and played a great game."

Osborn went 2-for-3 with a run scored to finish her home stand as a Tiger with a flourish.
