[Softball] Kinsella, Brown Help Saint Xavier Softball Split With Trinity International

CHICAGO – Senior third baseman Savannah Kinsella (Munster, Ind./Andrean) and senior pitcher Callie Brown (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley) were instrumental in leading the Saint Xavier University softball team to a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) split with Trinity International University (Ill.) Saturday afternoon at SXU Softball Field in Chicago.  The Cougars (20-22 overall/9-11 CCAC) dropped the first game, 6-2; but hung on to capture a 6-5 victory in game two.  The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played in Deerfield, Ill., as TIU's home games, but moved to SXU due to poor field conditions.  TIU remained the home team for scoring purposes and batted in the bottom half of each inning for both games.
