[Softball] Softball Shuts Out Hiwassee On Senior Day, Moving Win-Streak To Seven

Dayton, Tenn. – A 2-0 blanking of the Hiwassee College Tigers spearheaded by Bryan College Softball's starting pitcher, Sydney West (SO/White House, Tenn.), helped the Lions to a strong start on Senior Day, which took place on the campus of Bryan Saturday afternoon. The contest was followed by another shutout of the Tigers in the final game of the doubleheader as Courtney Petty (FR/Lebanon, Tenn.) tossed five innings, and Madison Owens (FR/Dandridge, Tenn.) closed the last two innings en route to a 3-0 victory, which marks seven straight wins for the Lions. Bryan improved their overall record to 22-18 and still control a 14-4 Appalachian Athletic Conference record, while Hiwassee dropped to 9-23 overall.
