[Softball] Scots’ late heroics lead to sweep over MBU

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Lyon College softball team kept their playoff hopes alive Monday evening with a sweep over Missouri Baptist, by scores of 10-1 and 3-2. The 3-2 win lasted nine innings after the Spartans tied the game in the seventh to send it to extras. Nicole Sanders (JR/Pineville, La.) gave the Scots the lead in the second contest, as she hit an RBI single to score Rachel Norman (JR/Livermore, Calif.). 

Kaitlyn Guevara (JR/San Jose, Calif.) led the offense in game one with three hits, while Cheyenne Black (FR/Crosby, Texas) (pictured below left) had a team leading three hits in the second game, including a home run.
