Taiwan Professional Women’s Softball League set to open 11th season
The Taiwan Professional Women’s Softball League (TPWSL) will open its 11th season on 11 April, marking the beginning of a new competitive cycle following the league’s 10th anniversary.
The season will run through 18 October, with postseason play scheduled for November.
Six teams will compete in the 2026 season, including the Chia-Nan Eagles, New Century Wasps, New Taipei Caesar Warriors, Taipei Bravo Bears, Campus Pangolins and the Chinese Taipei U-18 Team.
The 2026 TPWSL season includes Opening Day on 11 April with the postseason taking place from November 7 to 29.
The regular season will be played primarily on weekends, with three games scheduled per day across the following venues.
- Taipei Youth Park
- New Taipei Sanchong Stadium
- Taichung International Softball Field
- Kaohsiung Fengxin Stadium
- Nantou Fuxing Stadium
The top four teams will advance to the TPWSL postseason, to be played in three stages. The third- and fourth-placed teams from the regular season will compete in the three-game Qualification Series (November 7 and 8), with the winner advancing to the next round.
The second-placed team will face the Qualification Series winner in a five-game series. The winner of this series will advance to the Championship Series (November 21 to 29), where they will face the first-placed team from the regular season in a best-of-five series to determine the champion.
The 2025 TPWSL season marked the league’s 10th anniversary, highlighting its continued development as one of Asia’s leading women’s softball competitions.
Chia-Nan Eagles claimed the sixth title in franchise history, defeating New Century Wasps in the Championship Series, 4-1. The Eagles dominated the regular season, finishing with a 28–2 record, the best in the league.
