Softball New Zealand U-18 Women's National Team lands in Australia

The New Zealand U-18 Women’s National Softball Team has arrived in Sydney, Australia, to compete in the Australia U-18 National Championship and take part in a friendly series against Australia’s U-16 Women’s National Softball Team.

Known as the Junior White Sox, New Zealand returns to Australia following its 3–1 series victory over the hosts in December. The upcoming competitions provide another opportunity for the team to gain valuable international experience against high-level opposition ahead of another WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup cycle.

The Australia U-18 National Championship will be hosted at Blacktown International Sports Park, the venue that staged the softball competition during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The tournament runs through 25 January and features six teams: Australia U-16, New South Wales, New Zealand U-18, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Further information about the event is available here.
